Google Reader! WAAAAHHH!

Apparently, I am a day late on the news, but I just read when I checked google reader that it will be shutting down as of July 1st! HOW are you planning to keep up with blog reading without Google Reader? I have so many blogs that I follow that even changing to a new feed reader would take many hours of work. Anyone have any good ideas?

Obviously, this photo doesn't have anything to do with the post, but every post needs a photo. Meet: Kal-El/Superdog

National Art Educators Convention-Texas Style

I am having a fabulous time at the NAEA convention. I am already planning how I am going to make it to San Diego!

Highlights- so far this convention has really exceeded my expectations. I haven't felt like things were overly crowded. ( I hope that doesn't mean that the attendance is poor.) I have enjoyed most of the sessions that I have attended. I met Mr E and ran into a classmate from college, who I haven't seen in 14 years. It is such a small world!

I have absolutely adored that so much of the conference has has a Texas flavor to it. We don't have it here often-it should be Texas-style!

Convention Time

As of tomorrow I will be headed to Fort Worth for the NAEA convention! I am so excited. I have only attended one other national convention, back when I was a student in 1998 in Chicago. I was so overwhelmed by all the offerings, but underwhelmed by some of the speakers that I did attend. After the end of the first day, I pretty much just said "forget it" and went to museums for most of the rest of the time. I will say that I LOVE the (new?) convention app. It is really helping me figure out who is speaking and topics and organizing everything. So, really my question to you is, do you know anyone who is presenting who is a "can't miss" speaker? Or, are any of you presenting who are fabulous speakers or just want to make sure that you are not speaking to an empty room :)? I am happy to be your supportive bloggy friend. This is all last minute, I realize, but that is just how things are going for me right now. Off to finish my sub plans!!
