I first read about circle painting here, though I've seen it on several blogs since then. I liked the idea of a collaborative project, and decided to use this project with my pre-k through first grade. I would certainly do this project again, with any grade level, though it worked out better with first grade than the younger groups. This was really just due to a few students in class, who are on the more messy side. Some of the other students were more likely to get frustrated at this grade level. The students were very proud of their work.
Hi Angie, what a fabulous result. I did the same activity with a class of Year 5s (5th graders) outside. We placed lots of tables together and rolled out a very long roll of paper. I have it displayed on my blog... It's a wonderful activity because there is no wrong or right way of doing it... Fantastic! Anna:)
ReplyDeleteYea! Circle Painting is so much fun. I posted this on my blog in October and am amazed how much happiness this simple painting activity brings to kids. From those big happy smiles it looks like the your kids really loved it, too. I know mine are begging for more. What a great result.
